Steve Starks
Head Chef
Steve Starks, a longtime lover of cooking, found himself drawn to the outdoors in 2020 after he picked up a camera in pursuit of a pandemic hobby. He soon found an additional love in nature photography and quickly realized he might as well pick up hiking too, doing his first 14er before the end of the year.
Ignited by the want for a simple steak dinner on the first night hiking Mt. Sneffels, Steve carried a 12 inch cast iron all the way up to basecamp and back. This solidified the merging of his passions, which have since evolved into his outdoor cooking brand and him into “The Mountain Chef.”
Steve has partnered with various outdoor brands and done group cooks for Arc’teryx, Colorado Blackpackers, Weston Snowboards, Rovr coolers, Verde PR and more.
His experience and love for cooking and the outdoors inspired Steve to establish Campfire Cuisine.
Jenn Brown
Experience Director
While she has only recently embraced the wonders of the outdoors, Jenn has spent nearly two decades brainstorming, coordinating, organizing, and managing events and activations.
She has a background in creative and experiential marketing, managing the development, creative and execution of brand activations for both non-profit and corporate clients.
Jenn has a love for food and a passion for bringing people together that inspired Campfire Cuisine’s offerings.
At Campfire Cuisine, Jenn manages logistics for cooking classes, catering and activations.
