In Outdoor Cooking 101: The Team Building Experience, participants are introduced to the basics of outdoor cooking–learning about equipment and important outdoor recreation principals through multiple-choice trivia. They then get a chance to put what they’ve learned to test with a simple food competition that features a recipe from our cookbook Outdoor Cooking 101: Volume 1.
Teams pick recipes from a hat and have 30 minutes to prepare the dish, making enough for the entire group to try. When time is up, teams bring their dishes up to be judged in a blind taste test by their peers. Each team will taste and rank the dishes made by their competeition. Based on the number of teams, a score will be given for each ranking, and the team with the highest total score, wins.
